Educators Converge in Jalandhar for Conclave on AI's Role in Classrooms

Over 100 principals and educators from CBSE-affiliated schools across the region participated in a forward-thinking Education Conclave on “AI in Classrooms” hosted by the Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions at its Loharan campus in Jalandhar. The event was organized under the Disha initiative by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust and aimed to explore how artificial intelligence and digital innovation are transforming modern education.


The conclave opened with a ceremonial lamp-lighting led by Rajesh Kumar Gupta, CBSE Regional Officer, Chandigarh, followed by a cultural showcase titled “Tech of Yugas”, creatively tracing the journey of technological evolution through time. In his keynote, Gupta encouraged educators to integrate AI and other digital tools with care, urging balanced use to avoid overdependence on technology.

The day featured technical sessions by education leaders and tech experts on a wide range of AI applications in schools. Highlights included:


  • Dr. Deepa Dogra on using Generative AI and Large Language Models for creative learning content.

  • Dr. Harmeet Kaur Waraich on AI's potential in empowering teacher training.

  • Dr. Aabha Arora, an early childhood education specialist, on applying AI in foundational years.

  • Kartik Goel discussed the fusion of AI with STEM education.

  • Paramjeet Kaur Dhillon highlighted sustainable technology practices.

  • Akshay Ahuja presented on how AI tools can improve student employability.

  • Ajay Jain, a CEO from Gurugram, concluded with an engaging talk on immersive technologies like VR and AR in classrooms.


Two dynamic panel discussions further energized the conclave. The first, moderated by Dr. Vinodita Sankhyan, examined strategies to overcome resistance to AI integration. The second, led by Santosh Kumar Gautam, explored how parents can be more involved in AI-driven learning systems.


The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony for the dignitaries, including Gupta, led by Dr. Anup Bowry and Dr. Chander Bowry. A vote of thanks and a networking high tea brought the successful conclave to a close.


With rich discussions and expert insights, the conclave underscored the urgent need to prepare schools and educators for a tech-enabled, AI-integrated future of learning.
