In a significant boost to Panjab University's academic prestige, two senior faculty members from its Department of Laws have been appointed to key leadership positions at major universities in Haryana. Prof. Devinder Singh Appointed Vice-Chancellor
Professor Devinder Singh has been named the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat. A distinguished academician with over 25 years of experience, Prof. Singh is known for his expertise in constitutional law, election law, and human rights. Throughout his career, he has authored and edited several books, published over 70 research papers, and represented India at various international academic forums.

Beyond his scholarly contributions, Prof. Singh has played a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of legal professionals, having guided more than 30 PhD and LLM students. His involvement in national-level research projects has helped shape progressive academic policies and practices within the legal education sphere.
Prof. Ajay Ranga Takes Charge as Registrar
Joining the ranks of academic leadership, Professor Ajay Ranga has been appointed as the Registrar of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology (YMCA), Faridabad. A specialist in criminal law and forensic sciences, Prof. Ranga brings over 20 years of academic and administrative experience to his new role.
Prior to this appointment, he held several prominent positions including Registrar and Director at Himachal Pradesh National Law University and Dean at Chitkara Law School. At Panjab University, Prof. Ranga was deeply involved in academic governance and legal aid activities, earning accolades for his commitment to student development and social outreach.
